Chrissie has arrived from PAWS Animal Rescue Ireland. This girl is the total package! She is affectionate, playful, curious, loyal, and seeks praise and acceptance from her companions. With the help of her furry foster sisters, she has adapted incredibly well to her new life of love and security. Her chocolatey brown eyes say it all. She is loved and she has so much love to give.
Chrissie is an energetic and athletic gal who loves racing through the yard, playing with other dogs, tossing the toys around to herself, and going for long walks, even during the Canadian winter. She can also match the energy of lounging and relaxation. She shines in the presence of other, similarly-sized dogs. She has been around a variety of people and hosted a football watch party, where she stole the show. She will do best in a home with another dog and a human companion who loves being active. In Ontario.

Sid/Greyhound mix

Sid is a greyhound mix rescued from the Chinese meat trade through the efforts of Candy’s Hound Rescue International.  Sid is a smaller boy weighing around 40lbs.  He is very sweet and loving and is doing well, so far, with the house cats.  More information will be posted as we learn more about Sid.  In Michigan.

Georgia/Lurcher

Georgia has arrived from PAWS Animal Rescue Ireland and she says…Hi! I’m Sweet Georgia Peach, but my foster mom likes to call me Georgie.

I’m an affectionate, confident girl with a gentle demeanor who would love nothing more than to have my very own human to lounge, cuddle and watch Netflix with – I prefer to be the small spoon.

I love outdoor spaces where I can stretch my legs, or a home that will help maintain my athletic figure and snatched waist with a couple shorter walks, or one longer daily walk – I don’t like to skip leg day. When everyone is busy working, I like to nap, or entertain myself with squeaky toys, rubber balls and ropes!
I’m happiest running and playing with my other doggie friends, chasing after toys, or going on sniffaris with my humans. Another favorite activity of mine is car rides, no matter the distance.
I’m an exceptionally quick learner, with an “eager to please” attitude, especially when I’m rewarded with food, but praise will also do. I have a full repertoire of tricks that I would love to show you, if you give me the chance.
I like children of all ages, but I don’t do well with kitty friends. I do not bark (my greatest trick), and I’m not leash reactive, in fact, I’m neutral when meeting other dogs or completely ignore them if they are on the other side of the road.
Of course, none of us are perfect! My foster mom taught me to share the toys and the couch with the other two doggies who live with us. Otherwise, we get along great, I especially like to wrestle and play tag with my foster brother Dennis.
I think I would thrive as the extroverted fur-sibling, but I would likely be okay as a solo dog too, that way I don’t have to share the couch!

Jack/Whippet

Jack is a whippet rescued from the Chinese meat trade through the efforts of Candy’s Hound Rescue International. Jack weighs about 36lbs.  He is friendly and very playful, a little too interested in the cat.  Jack is settling into his foster home.  More information will be posted as we learn more about Jack.  In Michigan.

Arthur/Greyhound

Arthur is a greyhound rescued from the Chinese meat trade through the efforts of Candy’s Hound Rescue International.  Arthur is a smaller male, around 62lbs.  He is very sweet and loving.  He will just gently press his face toward you so that you don’t forget to pet him. One thing Arthur does not like is cats, so no cats for him!  He is settling into his foster home.  More information will be posted as we learn more about Arthur.  In Michigan. 

Charlie/Greyhound mix

Charlie is a greyhound mix rescued from the Chinese meat trade through the efforts of Candy’s Hound Rescue International.  Charlie is a friendly boy.  He weighs around 40lbs.  He is settling into his foster home and we will post more information as we learn more about Charlie. In Michigan.
